Eating Out

Local Food – Eating Out

There are many great places to eat out in the surrounding area. While self catering is often about cooking for yourself a trip out (or several) can be a great event during your stay.

Timings should be checked out before visiting and bookings at restaurants are recommended, especially in high season. Some venues are closed in low season.

In Strontian there is the Bothy Bar at the Strontian Hotel, the Kilcamb and the Ariundle Centre, as well as the Sunart Cafe.

At Ardgour there’s The Inn and Ardgour Ales who do pizzas to order on a Friday evening.

Lochalinne has the Whitehouse and a cafe at the Community Centre.

At Salen there’s the Salen Hotel.

Acharacle has the Loch Sheil Hotel, Ardshealach Lodge and Cafe Tioram.

Mingarry Park is at Mingarry and just a little further along is the Glenuig Inn.

At Kilchoan there’s the Kilchoan Hotel and Puffin Cafe and there’s a cafe at the Lighthouse, Britains’ most westerly mainland point.
